Prescene 6 - The Night of Power - Lailatul Qadr

In Surah Al-Qadr (Chapter 97) of the Holy Quran, Allah said:

1. We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power.
2. And what will explain to thee what the Night of Power is?
3. The Night of Power is better than a thousand Months.
4. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand:
5. Peace!... This until the rise of Morn!

Based on the consensus of the Ulamaks, Lailatul Qadr will occur on one night in the holy month of Ramadhan.

Good deeds performed during the Night of Power (Lailatul Qadr) would be rewarded equivalent to deeds performed over a period of a thousand months.

The whole world will be calm during the occurrence of Lailatul Qadr.

However, a night time at one place would mean a daytime at another.

Hence, in my opinion, the Night of Power will continue throughout a period of at least 24 hours, covering the night time of every inch of the globe. Of course, a person on the ground would only experience his own period of night time, and be blessed with the deeds that he performed during his own period of Lailatul Qadr.

Allah has indicated that the Peace would prevail throughout the occurrence of Lailatul Qadr. I believe that the earth would become very calm during the occurrence of Lailatul Qadr.

And I believe that there would not be any earthquakes throughout Lailatul Qadr, as an indication that the earth is in peace and is celebrating the Night of Power.

Jurublog’s Prescene 6 (a.k.a. the Lailatul Qadr Hypothesis) states that:

“During the Holy Month of Ramadhan, there will be a period of at least 24 hours in which there will be no occurrence of earthquakes throughout the entire world. That period will indicate the Night of Power or Lailatul Qadr. For avoidance of doubt, the period of calmness would cover an entire night in the Holy City of Makkah (i.e. from sunset until dawn).”

For my elucidation, is this word "prescene" something you just invented or is it a bastardized form of prescient?

Second, do you feel - as opposed to being the result of scientific study - that this 24-hour period of global calmness is confined to the passage of lailatul qadar or could very well occur at any other period of time?

Third, are you the only wise man who have thought of this marvellous idea or are there others who have come up with a similar proposition? Are there references on the subject I can refer to or is yours the only one?

Where on a scale of important discoveries would you place yours in comparison to Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time?

Do you plan to write a book on your discovery soon?

Will you title your book Prescene or Prescience the next time around?

Thank you in advance - prescient? - for your elucidation.

Zaharan,

Prescene is short form of "Predictive Scenario".

When I coined the word, I had no idea of "prescience" which is more of precognition or having extra sensory perception.

Predective Scenario is more of predicting possible future events based on certain scenario.

Second, in Prescene 6, I suggested that the period of global calmness would occur during the passage of lailatul qadr. The global calmness may occur at any other times beside the night of lailatul qadr.

Third, I am not a wise man. Prescene 6 was based purely on my understanding of the passage of Surah Al Qadr. There may be others who have suggested the same, but I have no idea. I am suggesting for an empirical study to be undertaken to proof Prescene 6.

I created the blog to put forth things like this in the blogosphere. At least if it is proven later, I can safely state that I had said it earlier.

By the way, I am a fan of Stephen Hawking and his Brief History of Time. And I am formulating a prescene based on my reading of the book. Stay tuned ...
